WSAA is pleased to announce three new documents related to the lining of water mains are now available for comment.

The documents include:

  • Manual for selection and application of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and spray liners for use in water pipe
  • Water Industry Standard for Cured-in-place pipes (CIPP) used for the renovation of drinking water pipes
  • Water Industry Standard for polymeric spray lining materials used for the renovation of drinking water pipes

The documents are the result of a Cooperative Research Centre and Water Industry funded collaborative project involving water utilities, universities, product suppliers and applicators.

A copy of the pre-publication draft of each document is attached below, along with an associated comments form.

How do I make a submission?

Comments are welcome by manufacturers, suppliers, designers, installers and asset owners, using the comments form and emailing linings@wsaa.asn.au by 3:00 pm AEDT, Thursday 2 September 2021.

What will happen next?

Once the public consultation period has concluded, the WSAA Project Team will consider the submissions received and amend the documents as deemed appropriate.

It is envisaged that the documents will be finalised and ready for publication by 30 September 2021. The documents will be published as eBooks only and will be available for purchase on the WSAA shop.
