Last week the US WateReuse Association held its 35th Annual WateReuse Symposium, Reaching New Heights in Water Reuse. The virtual platform enabled water professionals from 15 countries to participate in excellent workshops, keynotes, research updates, technical sessions and live chats, all of which provided learnings to build on. With a focus on purified recycled water for drinking, plus some non-drinking sessions, the Symposium showcased the dramatic expansion of water recycling around the world, to solve a range of water management challenges.

Here in Australia WSAA is leading advocacy work for all options to be on the table in water supply planning. If you’re interested in joining our new Community of Practice on Purified Recycled Water, please contact Danielle Francis.  The group has a focus on community relations aspects but includes people from a range of disciplines. Our All Options reports (Urban Water Supply Options and Lessons from the Journeys of Others) can also help guide utilities in considering this option and having the conversation with their community.
