This session will cover the latest in the development of a new National Water Initiative (NWI). We know our communities want prosperity, jobs, action on climate change, and liveable cities. A new NWI, with an increased focus on water for communities, will be critical to meeting these goals. Speakers include:

This session will cover the partnership between Melbourne Water and its international partners, plus policy, funding, collaborating opportunities and case studies. We will provide the opportunity for industry leaders to share their insights on how we can set ambitious targets, collaborate across the industry, and drive innovative solutions to create a truly sustainable and thriving future. Speakers include:

Supporting customers through the cost of living crisis

This session will consider how the cost of living crisis is seeing customers accessing support for the first time and the new ways water utilities are identifying and engaging with customers. The session will include an overview of the innovative One Stop One Story (OSOS) Hub as well as case studies from water utilities. Speakers include:

  • Amos Branch (Carollo Engineers, involved in many Californian schemes on water quality aspects, Artificial Intelligence applications) 
  • Manisha Kothari (City of San Francisco, ran a direct potable reuse demonstration which has led to alternative water source planning initiatives)(virtual)
  • Ryan Yuen, PUB Singapore (NEWater is a global leader in water treatment and their community engagement campaign model was echoed worldwide.
