The UK water industry launched a UK Water Industry Specification (UK WIS) for materials suitable to be flushed down the toilet last month. The specification provides tests requirements for products to be certified in the UK as being ‘fine to flush’. To accompany the launch the Water Research Centre (WRc) has released an informative video for customers.
A draft Australian Standard is expected to be released for public comment in the second half of 2019.
