We would like to inform you of a Request for Information (RFI) for an Asset Intelligence Platform that has been released into the market.

The Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) together with SA Water, Barwon Water, Urban Utilities, Yarra Valley Water (YVW) and TasWater (Members or Consortium) have set out to enable a digital advantage for the Australian and New Zealand water sector through the development of a water utility Asset Intelligence Platform (AIP)

What the Asset Intelligence Platform is trying to achieve:
At its foundation the AIP has been conceived as a tool to seamlessly integrate data and derive insights not readily available from existing singular systems of record. While the primary objective of the platform is to make the industry as a whole better than the sum of its parts, it also seeks to modernise the way Australian and New Zealand public water utilities plan, deliver, and manage assets in order to optimise customer, employee, and financial outcomes.
The Platform will have three main foundational capabilities:

  1. Data Collation and Situational Awareness;
  2. Automation; and
  3. Prediction

Where you fit in:
As a prospective technology partner, we are notifying you of the RFI that has been released to the market on Monday 22nd April. A four-week period has been provided to vendors to submit their responses. A market briefing session has been offered on the 30th of April at 8:00am and 6:00pm AEST. Please refer to the RFI for details on how to register for the briefing session.

Next Steps:
The RFI represents an opportunity for local and global technology organisations to showcase their capabilities in developing similar Platforms, inform the design of the AIP, and position for an invitation to the subsequent RFP stage of the process.
If your organisation is interested in participating in the RFI process, please register on eProcure to access the RFI documents.
All correspondence regarding the RFI should be sent to au-fmaiprfx@kpmg.com.au
Please note that KPMG is managing the Procurement process and delivery of the Program on behalf of WSAA and the Consortium
