Comment sought on the Energy White (Issues) Paper
The Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) welcomes the opportunity to provide comment on the Energy White (Issues) Paperon behalf of the urban water industry. WSAA highlights the close relationship between water and energy use. Energy is required to pump and treat water and wastewater and transport it across large distances. This submission discusses the security of energy supplies, regulatory reform and the role of government, growth and investment, workforce productivity, driving energy productivity, and alternative and emerging energy sources and technology.
