Liveability dominates current discussion about the planning and performance of cities and regions around the world.

Providing safe, reliable and resilient water and wastewater services provides an underlying foundation for the liveability of Australian cities.  This paper, along with its companion Occasional Paper 29 (Urban water planning framework and guidelines) aims to inform conversations about the role of water in providing and supporting urban liveability.
