This appraisal is for a range of PN16 iJOINT polypropylene (PP) compression fittings manufactured to AS/NZS 4129:2008 Fittings for polyethylene (PE) pipes for pressure applications.
The fittings range includes straight and reducing couplings, tees, elbows, threaded adapters and end caps in sizes DN 16, DN 20, DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50, DN 63, DN 90 and DN 110. See Section 4 for complete details of the range.
The compression joint fittings are suitable for both new PE pipe installations and for repair situations where fusion jointing is not desirable.
The iJOINT compression fittings are supplied ready to install and do not require dis-assembly prior to installation. After loosening the nut, the pipe is pushed into the fitting joint to a stop and the nut then tensioned to provide a seal and to facilitate the necessary pull-out resistance.
