This appraisal is for ductile iron off-take clamps for DIOD pipes in sizes DN 100 and DN 150 with DN 80, DN 100 and DN 150 flanged off-takes.
This Issue 2 is to include DN 150 x DN 150 flanged off-take clamps and to highlight that both Type F and Type R clamps are available for each size. The quality certifications have also been updated.
The fittings, branded as Uniclamp, consist of two polymeric coated ductile iron halves bolted together with Grade 316 stainless steel fasteners.
The circumferential elastomeric seal is manufactured from Nitrile rubber. Type R and Type F clamps of the same DN utilise different seals.
The clamps are full circle design and designated as Type R or Type F. Type R clamps are suitable for installation on ductile iron, cast iron, AC and GRP. Type F clamps are suitable for installation on Series 2 PVC-U, PVC-M or PVC-O pipes.
The clamps are rated as PN16 and the flanges comply with AS/NZS 4087 PN 16 Figure B5
