This appraisal is for a range of Deks Type B metal-banded flexible couplings with metal shear rings in sizes DN 100 to DN 225. This Issue 2 is to replace the previous version which had reached its expiry date
Deks metal-banded flexible couplings are designed for joining or repairing low-pressure sewerage or drainage pipes of various materials with the same or similar nominal internal diameters.
Where the difference in outside diameters of the pipes to be joined is greater than 16 mm an appropriate adapter bush is utilised to facilitate leak proof jointing. Deks product literature provides details of when adapter bushes are required.
Deks metal-banded couplings are supplied with Grade 316 stainless steel metal bands, shear rings and fasteners. The sleeve and adapter bushes are manufactured from EPDM rubber.
