The urban water sector is adopting a more outwardly focused approach to planning to reflect customer and community needs.

This paper, together with the companion Occasional Paper 30 (The role of urban water industry in contributing to liveability) supports this direction. The framework and guidelines provide a basis for engagaement with key stakeholders about the future of urban water servicing. In addition there is a supplement to Occasional Paper 29 which includes 7 case studies from WSAA members.
