WSAA welcomes the opportunity to provide a submission to the New Zealand Government as it considers approaches to improve the management of drinking water, stormwater and wastewater (Three Waters) to better support New Zealand’s prosperity, health, safety and environment.
The submission highlights key features of Australian reforms that have improved the efficiency of the urban water sector, improved customer outcomes, and enhanced the ability of water utilities to meet future challenges. It also includes case studies of industry structures in Western Australia, regional Victoria, Tasmania, South-East Queensland and regional New South Wales.
