WSAA will be hosting three sessions at Ozwater'22 in Brisbane.
This year’s Ozwater theme is Our Water Journey, which celebrates the evolution of the water sector from its rich history, where we are now and what possibilities lie in our future.
WSAA will host sessions on Wednesday 11 May.
Session 1: The Race to Zero
The commitment of the industry to Race to Zero shows we are ready to step up and lead in the area of climate change. But what does leading in this space mean and what do our customers think? Hear from industry leaders on utility actions to meet Race to Zero commitments, insights from our recent work with customers about their willingness to pay for carbon offsets, and water’s role in a hydrogen fuelled future.
Session 2: Towards resilience: building back better
Like other industries and communities, the urban water industry has faced many recent challenges including COVID-19, supply chain pressures and climate extremes in bushfires and most recently floods. In this session we will hear case studies on the learnings from these challenges and how the industry is seeking to build resilience for future challenges.
Session 3: Digital innovation in the urban water industry
This session will look at digital innovation across different aspects of the urban water industry including asset management, customer outcomes and in creating efficiencies. Hear case studies from utilities embracing digital to transform internal operations and create better outcomes for customers.
