We are pleased to introduce the Asset Management Network which was formed out the Utility Excellence Committee (UEC) and network review in 2018.

The UEC and the Network sponsors of the three existing Asset Management networks (Asset Maintenance, Operations and Renewals Network, Asset Planning, Resiliance and Creation Network and Service Planning and Optimisation) agreed to form one consolidated Asset Management Network.

The new Asset Management Network will address some of the opportunities identified in the review of the UEC networks and service the members by:

  • Enhancing customer outcomes through whole life cycle asset management within the water industry.
  • Identifying gaps and priorities to achieve the future asset management vision for the industry.
  • Identifying emerging trends in areas of asset management.
  • Championing implementation of outcomes from AM network initiatives within utilities.

The inaugural meeting of the Network was held in March 2019. This was attended by 39 representatives from WSAA members across Australia. The network meeting focused on identifying themes for ongoing collaboration to enhance asset management practices and outcomes.

Two more meetings are planned for 2019 and an advisory group will be established to assist the network delivering its objectives.

How to get involved

The Network is open – if you are interested in joining the Asset Management Network it’s easy to join via the member community site, simply click on 'request to join' on the network page

Please note that attendance at the meetings is restricted to two utility representatives and many utilities have already nominated their representatives. Please contact James Goode on james.goode@wsaa.asn.au for further information.
