This appraisal is for a range of Geopress K plastics fittings and tapping valves for use with PN16 PE100 pipe
This issue 2 is to advise of some minor design changes to the Geopress K joint to include an EPDM seal and a change of colour of the clamping ring. Quality certifications have also been updated.
The fittings range consists of tees, elbows, and couplings in sizes DN 25, DN 32, DN 40, DN 50 and DN 63 and under pressure tapping valves in sizes DN 63, DN 90, DN 110, DN 125, DN 140, DN 160, DN 180, DN 200and DN 225. The under pressure tapping valves consist of a tapping band with an integral valve.
The fittings within the range all utilise a unique Geopress K press jointing system for leak tight connection to PE pipe without the need to rely on elastomers. The pipe is pressed on to the support sleeve of the connection joint with a battery-operated press gun to provide internal sealing and a high tensile connection. Only SDR 11 PN16 PE100 pipes are suitable for this jointing system.
