This appraisal is for Polyethylene (PE) maintenance shafts for sewerage sewerage applications. The base of the Poo Pit is a DN 600 sphere made from rotationally moulded linear medium density polyethylene (LMDPE). The downstream outlet is an integral part of the body moulding and the upstream aperture spigot(s) is made from an injection moulded PE100 grade resin, which is extruded welded to the body at the position and grade to suit the connecting sewer(s) of DN 150 and DN 225. The vertical riser spigot is adaptable to suit DN 250 and DN 315 PE100 PE pipe or DN 225 or DN 300 DWV PVC-U SN8 plain wall riser pipe, coloured cream supplied by Vinidex of Iplex.
Smartstream Technology has developed Poo Pit™ PE MS with a DN 600 spherical base unit to provide non-man entry for the operation and maintenance of DN 100, DN 150 and DN 225 reticulation sewers with DN 250 and DN 315 PE risers or DN 225 or DN 300 DWV PVC-U SN8 plain wall riser pipe, coloured cream supplied by Vinidex of Iplex.
The Poo Pit™ PE MS achieves any angle between 45° and 315° on 150 mm pipelines and between 65° and 295° on 225 mm pipelines. Grade and invert drops can be achieved without the need for additional fittings such as deflection and kicker bends.
The Poo Pit ™ PE MS can be supplied with up to three upstream spigots or with just the downstream spigot as a Terminal maintenance shaft. The downstream spigot is 0°, and the upstream spigot angle is defined clockwise from the downstream. Grades can be supplied from flat to 20% or (1 in 5).
