This appraisal is for Daemco PN16 resilient seated gate valves manufactured to AS/NZS 2280.2. This Issue 4 is a replacement for the previous version of the appraisal which had reached its 5-year expiry date.
The resilient seated gate valves have the following sizes and end configurations, with clockwise or anticlockwise closing options:
DN 80 – DN 375 Flange – Flange
DN 80 – DN 300 Socket - Socket
DN 80 – DN 300 Spigot - Spigot
DN 100 – 150 Restrained Joints for DN 125 and DN 180 PE pipe
The restrained joint for PE pipe consists of an EPDM elastomeric seal and gunmetal gripper ring, which is secured by a bolted gland. No pipe stiffener insert is required for PN12.5 or higher rated pipes. The maximum allowable joint deflection is 1.5 degrees.
