This appraisal is for a range of Aztec Type B metal-banded flexible couplings with metal shear rings in sizes DN 100 to DN 250 and offered to the market as Aztec shielded couplings.
Aztec shielded flexible couplings are designed for joining or repairing low-pressure sewerage or drainage pipes of various materials with the same or similar nominal internal diameters.
Where the outside diameters of the pipes to be joined have a difference between 16mm and 32mm an appropriate adaptor bush is utilised to facilitate leak proof jointing.
Aztec shielded couplings are supplied with Grade 316 stainless steel metal bands, shear rings and fasteners. The sleeve and adaptor bushes are manufactured from EPDM rubber.
The couplings are not suitable for drinking water applications.
